This university promises to cater to the long-cherished yearning for a centre of higher learning. Keeping in mind Cicero’s famous statement vivere est cogitare ( to live is to know ), this university is determined to spread the fruits of education in all segments of society –the mainstream and the marginal.

In the twenty-first century knowledge will cut across disciplines and boundaries; and the ‘regional’ will embrace the ‘global’. We have therefore devised three distinctive Schools of learning which will encourage research, learning and social commitment. We believe in the famous statement of Vivekananda: “Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man”. This valuable statement of Vivekananda willsustain us in our glious voyage to the future.
